Rapper-actor Kid Cudi will play a pivotal role in actor Brittany Snow's directorial debut feature September 17th.
Snow has also written the script along with Becca Gleason. The film centres on a woman named Riley, who struggles with body image issues. After getting discharged from rehab she meets Ethan and must navigate the line between unconditional love and a new addiction.
The film is produced by Yale Production banner's Jordan Yale Levine and Jordan Beckerman alongside Lizzie Shapiro's company The Space Program. Nick Donnermeyer, Michael Rothstein, Jesse Korman and Jeffrey Tussi serve as executive producers.
Cudi is best known for his musical career. His popular albums include Man on the Moon: The End of Day, Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager, Indicud, Man on the Moon III: The Chosen, and Kids See Ghosts. His film credits as an actor include Need for Speed, Entourage, and Don't Look Up.
Snow is well-known for starring in titles such as John Tucker Must Die and Pitch Perfect. The actor had directed the 2019 short film Milkshake.
Notably, Kudi and Snow star together in production company A24's latest horror film X, which had its world premiere at South by Southwest yesterday. X is set to release in theatres in the US on March 18.
