Michelle Dockery joins cast of action-thriller Boy Kills World

Actor Michelle Dockery has joined the cast of the upcoming action thriller Boy Kills World. The actor joins the previously announced cast which includes Bill Skarsgard, Yayan Ruhian, Jessica Rothe, Andrew Koji and Isaiah Mustafa.

Written by Arend Remmers and Tyler Burton Smith, the film is set to be directed by debutant filmmaker Mortiz Mohr.

Dockery will play Melanie, the sister of the tight-knit Van der Koy family. For Melanie, a cutthroat and brutal individual, things can get especially violent when her family’s values are challenged and the cracks in their framework are revealed for what they truly are. She tries to project a powerful cohesive family image to hide the desperation behind their decaying dynasty. Backed by her mother Hilda (Janssen), Gideon (Gelman), and Glen (Copley), Melanie sees her loved ones as the end all be all in the post apocalyptic battleground surrounding Boy Kills World.

Sam Raimi and Zainab Azizi will produce Boy Kills World through Raimi Productions, Roy Lee of Vertigo Entertainment, Simon Swart, and Wayne Fitzjohn through Nthibah Pictures, and Alex Lebovici of Hammerstone Studios. Stuart Manashil and Dan Kagan will also serve as producers, with Reza Brojerdi of Ventaro Film and Andrew Childs also executive producing.

Meanwhile, Dockery will soon be seen in Anatomy of a Scandal, which premieres on Netflix on April 15. The actor will also reprise her Downtown Abbey role in the upcoming Downton Abbey: A New Era movie.
