As expected, Marvel Studios released a slew of release announcements yesterday at the San Diego Comic-Con. One of the announcements was the title for Captain America's upcoming film.
It's now known that the film, which will be one of the Phase 5 projects, is titled Captain America: New World Order. Sam Wilson, who Steve Rogers gave the mantle of Captain America at the end of Avengers: Endgame, took over the persona in the hit MCU series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
The script for the film will be written by Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson who had earlier served as head writer and staff writer, respectively, on the Disney+ Hotstar series. With Anthony Mackie playing the titular role, The Cloverfield Paradox-fame Julius Onah is directing the sequel. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on May 3, 2024.
