The first official poster for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has been released online. The poster shows Miles Morales in the foreground while countless other spider man from other multiverses are shown in the background. The story picks up immediately after the events of the 2018 film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and revolves around the adventures of Miles Morales as he meets multiversal versions of Spider-Man from different universes.

The film is directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson, and is based on a screenplay written by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and David Callaham. The film introduces SpiderMan 2099, voiced by Dune-fame Oscar Isaac. While Shameik Moore voices Miles Morales in the film, the rest of the voice cast includes Hailee Steinfeld, Jake Johnson, Issa Rae, Daniel Kaluuya, Jason Schwartzman, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Velez, Greta Lee, Rachel Dratch, Jorma Taccone, and Shea Whigham.

The Spider-Verse franchise by Sony is currently separate from Marvel’s SpiderMan films but speculations state that Tom Holland’s Peter Parker/ SpiderMan may have a cameo appearance as an animated version in the film. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is currently scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on 2 June.
