Patty Jenkins' Rogue Squadron reportedly delayed due to creative differences

We had earlier reported that Wonder Woman-director Patty Jenkins' upcoming Star Wars film Rogue Squadron was indefinitely delayed due to scheduling conflicts. However, a new report has stated that the delay is due to creative differences.

The report has quoted a Disney insider who stated that the director wants to concentrate on the third Wonder Woman film for Warner Bros., where she enjoys more creative freedom.

Rogue Squadron was supposed to be the first big-screen outing for the Star Wars universe since Disney and Lucasfilm wrapped up the Skywalker clan's nine-film saga with 2019's Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

This also isn't the first time that problems due to creative differences have arisen in the Star Wars universe. Earlier, Tony Gilroy was brought in to fix Gareth Edwards' cut of Rogue One. In 2018, comedy duo Phil Lord and Chris Miller were removed during the production of Solo: A Star Wars Story as the studio felt that the film had a more comedic take. They were eventually replaced by Ron Howard.

It remains unclear if Jenkins will finish Rogue Squadron. Meanwhile, the next Star Wars instalment, The Book of Boba Fett, will premiere on Disney+ on December 29.
