First reactions for Spider-Man: No Way Home out; gets a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes

Critics have lauded the latest Marvel film

Spider-Man: No Way Home, which is releasing on Thursday, has received positive reviews after its world premiere on Monday. The film, with almost 50 reviews at the time of writing this article, holds a perfect score of 100% on the aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes. 

Critics have lauded the film for and while IGN called it "as both the darkest and funniest MCU Spider-Man entry to date", another reviewer said the film "isn't just the best of the eight live-action Spider-Man films, it's one of the superior films of the entire Marvel Studios franchise".

Directed by Jon Watts, Spider-Man: No Way Home stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jon Favreau, Jamie Foxx, Alfred Molina and Willem Dafoe. With Peter Parker's identity as Spider-Man exposed by Mysterio at the end of Spider-Man: Far From Home, the latest film will show his trials and tribulations as he reaches out to Dr Stephen Strange for help.
