Popular Disney titles like Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Jungle Cruise, and Home Sweet Home Alone will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on 12th November, on the occasion of Disney+ Day.
Disney’s CEO Bob Chapek confirmed the news today during the virtual question-and-answer session at the Goldman Sachs 30th Annual Communacopia Conference.
Marvel's Shang-Chi, which was released in theatres in India on 2nd September, stars Simu Liu in the titular role, along with Awkwafina, Meng'er Zhang, Benedict Wong, Dallas Liu, Michelle Yeoh and Tony Leung among others. The film revolves around Shang-Chi, who must confront the past he thought he left behind when he is drawn into the web of the mysterious Ten Rings organisation.
Dwayne Johnson-starrer Jungle Cruise is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, and stars Emily Blunt, Édgar Ramírez, Jack Whitehall, Jesse Plemons, and Paul Giamatti. The film is based on Walt Disney's eponymous theme park attraction that's located at various Disney theme parks worldwide.
Directed by Dan Mazer, Home Sweet Home Alone is a reboot of Home Alone holiday franchise. It stars Ellie Kemper, Rob Delaney, Archie Yates, Aisling Bea, Kenan Thompson, Tim Simons, Pete Holmes, Devin Ratray, Ally Maki, and Chris Parnell.
Disney+ Hotstar will also release Olaf Presents, a Frozen short spin-off series and the Luca sequel short, Ciao Alberto.
