Disney+ has revealed that its original film, Better Nate Than Ever, will hit the streaming platform in the Spring of 2022. The film stars Aria Brooks, Michelle Federer, Norbert Leo Butz, Lisa Kudrow, and Joshua Bassett, while debutant Rueby Wood will be essaying Nate.
Based on Tim Federle's book by the same name, the author will be adapting the book to screen and is set to direct it as well. The book follows Nate, a 13-year-old kid who aspires to become a musical star, and sets out on a trip to New York City with his friend to achieve his goal. Lisa Kudrow plays Nate's long-lost aunt Heidi.
Produced by Marc Platt, further details related to the film are under wraps.
Federle's other directorial credits include Ferdinand. He has also served as showrunner in Disney’s High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.
