The Eurasian country of Georgia, located at the crossroads of Western Asia and Eastern Europe, seems to be the new in-demand location for shooting Indian films. A 45-day schedule of Chiranjeevi's historical period drama, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy will commence in Georgia from next week. According to reports, the team will be filming a major action sequence with Chiranjeevi, Amitabh Bachchan, Kicha Sudeep, Vijay Sethupathy, Jagapathi Babu and others in this schedule.

"The unit has made massive arrangements for this war sequence, which is going to be one of the major highlights of the film. The scenes of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy fighting the British government will be shot in this schedule. The makers have roped an international team of technical and action specialists for these action sequences. These portions alone will cost Rs 50 crore," reveals a source.

Director Surender Reddy and cinematographer Rathnavelu have already left for Georgia. "Around 170 members will participate in this schedule and the team is leaving in groups to ease out the travel process. A group comprising Chiru, several make-up assistants and seven horse trainers will fly on September 20," the source adds. Sye Raa... will be released simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam next summer.

Another film also being shot in the same country is Simbu's next with Sundar C, which is touted to be the remake of Telugu film Attarinitiki Daredi. The crew commenced shooting in Georgia yesterday. A source close to the film says that the makers are keen on completing the shooting for the film by the end of this year in order to release it in January 2019. Bankrolled by Lyca Productions, this film co-stars Megha Akash and has music by Hiphop Tamizha.
