2.0 to have shorter runtime than Enthiran

Director Shankar is all set to give the audience a crisp story with a shorter duration in his upcoming sequel to 2010's Enthiran. 2.0starring Rajinikanth, which has obtained a U/A certificate from the Censor Board of Film Certification, has a runtime of 148 minutes. Releasing on November 29 in multiple Indian languages, 2.0 has been made on a staggering budget of Rs 600 crore with high-end visual effects.

"The film, which has been in the making for over three years, is replete with superior visual effects and has about 2150 VFX shots. Over 3000 VFX technicians have worked on the project to make it a visual extravaganza. It is, by far, the shortest feature film in Shankar's career, and is the first Indian film to be made in 3D technology with 4D sound. The narrative will thrill the audience and the film will make Indian cinema proud on the global arena," said producer NV Prasad, who is releasing the film in Telugu through NVR Cinema.

Also starring Akshay Kumar in a negative role, 2.0 has music by AR Rahman.
