Don't think I have saved Salman Khan's Bharat: Katrina Kaif
The actor replaced Priyanka Chopra in the Ali Abbas Zafar directorial
Katrina Kaif, who replaced Priyanka Chopra in Ali Abbas Zafar's Bharat, says she doesn't think she has 'saved' the project in any way by joining it in the nick of time. "The roles which I have chosen for myself are purely based on script and what my character is in that film," she says, adding that Ali Abbas Zafar is a 'very dear friend' of hers. "We have worked with each other earlier in Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and Tiger Zinda Hai and both films were extremely successful. More importantly, I had a great experience working on those two films. When Ali contacted me this time around he told me he was sending a script and asked me to just react and tell him what I felt about it. When I read the script, I thought it was absolutely wonderful and felt extremely excited about the character which I am playing in the film. Therefore, I am very happy to be part of the film."
In Bharat, Katrina will play Salman's love interest. She will be joining the shoot in the upcoming schedule that begins in September. Bharat went on floors earlier this month and the first look of the film is already out. The film also stars Tabu, Sunil Grover and Nora Fatehi in pivotal roles. It is a remake of the 2014 South Korean film, Ode to My Father. Produced by Atul Agnihotri's Reel Life Productions and Bhushan Kumar's T-Series, it will be released on Eid 2019.
