Netflix India has dropped the teaser for Haseen Dillruba. A romantic thriller, the film stars Taapsee Pannu, Vikrant Massey and Harshvardhan Rane. It is written by Kanika Dhillon (Manmarziyaan, Judgementall Hai Kya) and directed by Vinil Mathew.

The teaser shows three characters in a small town and the twisted love triangle that grows between them.

Rani (Taapsee Pannu) is a beautician who has recently gotten married. Her husband, Risbhabh (Vikrant Massey), is a software engineer. And there is a third party – a muscly adventurer played by Harshvardhan Rane.

The film's logline reads: A woman whose heart longs to live like words captured in a novel, finds herself entangled in the murder of her own husband. Will she get lost in the chaos of her real-life novel or find her innocence?

Vinil had directed the 2014 romantic-comedy Hasee Toh Phasee. For his second feature, he was drawn to stories ‘that explore the various dynamics of human relationships’.

“Haseen Dillruba is one such edgy story, written beautifully by Kanika Dhillon,” the director said. “It was a pleasure to collaborate with a stellar cast, Colour Yellow Productions and T-Series. I’m really looking forward to sharing it with the world...”

Haseen Dillruba is releasing on Netflix on July 2. The film’s music is composed by Amit Trivedi. Amit, Taapsee and Kanika were also collaborators on Manmarziyaan (2018)
