Silambarasan TR turns gunman in Maanaadu motion poster

The motion poster of Silambarasan TR's Maanadu, directed by Venkat Prabhu, was unveiled this evening. The featurette shows Simbu as a gunman on a mission to take down someone in a crowded political meeting. The actor plays a Muslim youth named Abdul Khaaliq in tht film.

After the Pondicherry schedule, the director Venkat Prabhu finished a short schedule in Yercaud with the supporting actors. He had planned to shoot for a week in Chennai before proceeding to the final leg of shooting. But the unexpected change in the climate, and the continuous rain in Chennai affected the director's plan.

With music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematography by Richard M Nathan, the political thriller has Kalyani Priyadarshan playing the female lead. The film also stars SJ Suryah, Bharathiraja, Manoj Bharathiraja, SA Chandrasekhar, and Premgi Amaren.

Simbu's Eeswaran, directed by Susienthiran released today. He has Pathu Thala, alongside Gautham Karthik and three other projects in the lineup. Kalyani Priyadarshan, on the other hand, is awaiting the release of Marakkar and is a part of Hridhayam, co-starring Pranav Mohanlal.
