The Conjuring 3 trailer out: The Warrens return for another chilling case

The trailer of The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, the sequel to 2016-film The Conjuring 2 and the eighth film in The Conjuring universe, has been released today. The film sees Ed and Lorrain Warren, played by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga, return to solve another paranormal case.

The film is loosely based on the trial of Arne Cheyenne Johnson, which marked the first time in US history that a murder suspect claimed demonic possession as defense.

Michael Chaves, who directed The Curse of La Llorona, is directing The Conjuring 3, while James Wan, who helmed the original and its sequel, is serving as one of the executive producers. The film also stars Ruairi O'Connor, Sarah Catherine Hook, and John Noble.

The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It is set to be released in theaters and HBO Max on June 4.
