Jyothika's Ponmagal Vandhal trailer out

Ponmagal Vandhal is set to premiere on Prime Video on May 29

Amazon Prime Video has released the trailer of Jyotika's Ponmagal Vandhal. Written and directed by JJ Fredrick, the film follows a lawyer's fight to defend a wrongfully-convicted woman.

In this legal drama, Jyotika plays the role of a fearless lawyer fighting for justice in children's abduction and murder cases. Featuring Parthiban as opposing counsel in a courtroom, the trailer also shows Bhagyaraj in a troubling situation. A loud child's cry and Jyothika's voice calling for help in a chilling backdrop in Ooty promises a gripping watch.

After facing much outrage from theatre owners for releasing the film directly on OTT instead of theatres, Ponmagal Vandhal is set to premiere on Prime Video on May 29.

“The gripping legal drama, while being local in its narrative, is an engrossing story that will keep the audience at the edge of their seat,” said Rajsekar Karpoorasundarapandian, Co-Producer & CEO, 2D Entertainment in a statement.

The film is bankrolled by Suriya and Rajsekar Karpoorasundarapandian. It has music scored by Govind Vasantha.
