Mardaani 2 teaser out: Rani Mukerji returns as crimefighter Shivani Roy

The teaser of Rani Mukerji’s Mardaani 2 is out. The sequel is directed by Gopi Puthran and produced by Yash Raj Films. The film, which marks Rani’s return as Superintendent of Police Shivani Shivaji Roy, is set for release on December 13.

“The film will see a woman cop fighting a 'pure evil' person to end crimes against women. As we all know, Navratri stands for the victory and battle of good over evil across India,” Rani said. 

The first instalment revolved around Shivani taking on the kingpin of a child trafficking racket (played by Tahir Raj Bhasin). The makers are yet to reveal the antagonist of Mardaani 2.

Director Gopi Puthran shared, “Rani as Shivani will be seen in a massive showdown with a 21-year-old villain who is an embodiment of pure evil. He is a dangerous criminal who targets women.”
