Prabhas-starrer Salaar Teaser is out: A rousing re-introduction into Prashanth Neel's 'new' world

The 106-second teaser is visually reminiscent of the director's previous action duology KGF

The much-awaited teaser of Salaar, Prashanth Neel's upcoming directorial starring Prabhas in the lead role, was finally unveiled on Thursday morning.

The 106-second teaser, visually reminiscent of the director's previous action duology KGF shows Tinnu Anand speak about the main lead to a bunch of goons dressed in black. The actor says, "Simple English, no confusion. Lion. Cheetah. Elephant. Very dangerous. But, not in Jurassic Park," before the teaser cuts to visuals of its male lead killing people and its antagonist Prithviraj Sukumaran.

The teaser also reveals that Salaar Qis a two-part film, with the first part titled Part 1 - Ceasefire. While Prabhas plays the role of the titular character Salaar, Prithviraj's character is called Varadaraja Mannaar. The film is a Kannada-Telugu bilingual, which will also be dubbed into Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam. Shruti Haasan is the female lead of the film, with Sriya Reddy, Jagapathi Babu, Madhu Guruswamy, Ramachandra Raju, Garuda Ram and Tinnu Anand essaying supporting roles.

Salaar is produced by Vijay Karangadur under the banner Hombale films. Ravi Basrur is the music composer of the film, with cinematography by Bhuvan Gowda, editing by Ujwal Kulkarni and production design by Shivakumar and TL Venkatachalapathi.
