The trailer of the long-awaited Venu Udugula directorial, Virata Parvam, is out.

As introduced by the teaser which was released last year, the film is a tale of love set against the backdrop of communism and a volatile political climate, and is inspired by real events that transpired in the 1990s.

Sai Pallavi plays Vennela, who starts developing reverence and love for Comrade Ravi (Rana Daggubati) after reading his politically charged writings and sets out on a journey to meet him. The trailer also sees her take up arms and join Ravi's army in their fight for the oppressed. Virata Parvam seems to be an out-and-out Sai Pallavi show as it is character is central to the narrative.

Backed by visuals of Dani Salo and Divakar Mani and music by Suresh Bobbili, the trailer promises an intense love story that's high on action and emotions.

Produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri through SLV Cinemas in association with Suresh Productions, the film will be presented by Suresh Babu. Virata Parvam is set to release on June 17.
