Teaser of Sai Dharam Tej's Virupaksha out

A glimpse of Sai Dharam Tej’s next film, Virupaksha, was released by the makers on social media on Wednesday. The glimpse, which featured a voiceover by actor Junior NTR, also revealed that Virupaksha will release in theatres on April 21, 2023.

The glimpse introduces us to the world of Virupaksha with the visuals depicting black magic rituals taking place in a village. The film appears to touch upon superstitious beliefs, with Sai Dharam Tej trying to uncover the truth in mysteries. Junior NTR’s voice mentions about how ignorance is the root to fear, which in turn is root to superstition.

Virupaksha is billed to be a thriller film and will be directed by Karthik Dandu. The film will have Samyuktha Menon play the female lead. The technical crew consists of B Ajaneesh Loknath composing the music, with screenplay by director Sukumar. The film will be shot by cinematographer Shamdat Sainudeen and Navin Nooli is handling the edits.

The film is backed by BVSN Prasad under the Banners of Sri Venkateshwara Cine Chitra and Sukumar Writings.

Last seen in Republic, Tej is also in talks to work in the Telugu remake of Vinodhaya Sitham. Karthik, on the other hand, made his directorial debut with Navdeep-starrer Bham Bholenath (2015).
