Kushi earns 7 Crore gross in Tamil Nadu

Kushi earned 7 crores gross in Tamil Nadu, according to a statement released by the makers of the film on Wednesday. The statement also reads that this is the highest a Telugu film has earned in Tamil Nadu in 2023. Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha headline this film on love and marital strife in the context of family differences. Rahul Ramakrishna, Saranya Ponvannan, Sharanya Pradeep, Sachin Khedekar, Murali Sharma, Lakshmi, Rohini, Jayaram and Srikanth Ayyengar essay supporting roles in the film. Kushi is written and directed by Shiva Nirvana, it is his fourth film after Ninnu Kori, Majili and Tuck Jagadish.

The film opened to mixed to positive reviews and earned upwards of 70 crores gross worldwide. The Cinema Express' review of the film reads, "places don’t make films; people do. And Viplav and Aradhya are not easy to feel for"

Elated by the success of the film, Vijay Deverakonda has also announced that he would be distributing 1 crore of his earnings to 100 families of his fans equally, i.e. 1 lac each.

Kushi is produced by Mythri Movie Makers, with music by Hesham Abdul Wahab, cinematography by G Murali, editing by Prawin Pudi and production design by Jayashree Lakshminarayan.
