Shaitan gets a release date

Mahi V Raghav, who has recently created the Disney + Hotstar comedy web series Save The Tigers, is back with an action web series for the same streaming platform. Titled Shaitan, the series will be streaming from June 15 onwards.

Shaitan was announced on Monday, with a 35-second long video that introduces the key actors of the series, looking all serious and bloodied. You see four characters, two men and two women staring into the camera deadpan, while we presumably see a corpse lying horizontally in the foreground. Shaitan stars Rishi, Shelly, Ravi Kale, Deviyani, Jaffer Siddique, Lenaa, Nithin Prasanna, Kamakshi Bhaskarla, Manikandan, Ravi Kumar and Aneesha Dama.

Taking to social media to talk about his series, Mahi wrote, “What you call crime, they call survival. This is my take on a very tried and tested crime genre. This genre is something which I am not too fond of or very comfortable with! But as a storyteller, it has been quite an experience living in their world and bringing these characters alive onto the screen.”

The series is created, written and directed by Mahi V Raghav, while K Ravi Kumar provided the additional screenplay of the series. Sriram Maddury is the music director of Shaitan, with cinematography by Shanmuga Sundaram, editing by Shravan Katikaneni and production design by Rajkumar Murugesan.
