MM Keeravaani honoured by Telangana state government

We had earlier reported that MM Keeravaani is one of the Padma Shri awardees of the year. The composer, who has been hitting the headlines for composing Naatu Naatu, recently received the Golden Globes as well as the Critics Choice Award. On Thursday, on the occasion of India's 74th Republic Day, Keeravaani was also recognised by the Telangana state government. 

He received the award at the hands of the Governor, Tamilisai Soundarrajan. At the event, MM Keeravaani said, "This achievement is not mine alone, it's an achievement of all my mentors, brothers and supporters." Recently, Naatu Naatu made a breakthrough by getting nominated for the upcoming Academy Awards. 

Keeravani won the National Film Award for Best Music Direction for Annamayya in 1997. His upcoming projects include Hari Hara Veera Mallu in Telugu and Chandramukhi 2 in Tamil.
