RRR's celebrated dance number, 'Naatu Naatu' bagged the Golden Globe in the Best Original Song category. The song, composed by MM Keeravani, beat other nominees which included  Taylor Swift’s Carolina from Where the Crawdads Sing, 'Ciao Papa' from Pinocchio, Lady Gaga’s 'Hold My Hand' from Top Gun: Maverick, and Rihanna's 'Lift Me Up' from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Naatu Naatu has lyrics penned by Chandrabose while Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairavaa lent their voices. Prem Rakshith choreographed the song which won appreciation for its electrifying beats and dance moves all over the world. Videos of the audience celebrating, cheering and dancing to the song during the film's screening in America have doing rounds for months now. Even earlier this week, during the film's screening at the TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX, the song was received with a great enthusiasm with many patrons rushing to dance in front of the screen.

In the film, the song begins as a tool of confrontation between the Indian protagonists--Ram and Bheem--and a brutish British youngster. It culminates as a dance-off involving hundreds of dancers that boils down to Ram and Bheem as the last men standing. The song has also been shortlisted for the Oscars.

RRR is directed by SS Rajamouli and stars Jr NTR and Ram Charan.
