Telangana Govt permits early morning shows of Sankranthi releases

The Government of Telangana has responded to the request of Mythri Movie Makers and granted permission for the early morning shows at 4 AM for their films, Veera Simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya, set to release this festive season.

"After careful examination in the matter, Government hereby permit for screening the 6th show (special show) at 4 AM to the following movies—Veera Simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya—in certain theatres in Telangana State mentioned in the Annexure appended," the official statement reads. However, the special show is permitted only on the day of the release for the both films, i.e. on January 12 and 13 for Veera Simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya, respectively.

Both the films are riding on high expectations with moviegoers eagerly awaiting the clash of biggies, in typical Sankranthi tradition, after a rather dull festival season in 2022 due to the restrictions imposed during the third wave of COVID-19 pandemic.

Veera Simha Reddy stars Balakrishna and is directed by Gopichand Malineni, while Waltair Veerayya, directed by Bobby Kolli, features Chiranjeevi as the titular character.
