RRR bags four awards at HCA awards

SS Rajamouli's continues its victory march at pre-cursor American awards ceremonies, with Hollywood Critics Association (HCA) Awards being the epic-actioner's latest haul. The film bagged awards at the ceremony for Best International Film, Best Action Film, Best Stunts, and Best Original Song (Naatu Naatu).

While accepting the award, Rajamouli, who was joined by cinematographer KK Senthil Kumar, music composer MM Keeravani and the film's star, Ram Charan, said, "A big thank you to all the members of the Hollywood Critics Association (HCA) who thought RRR had the best stunts. Thanks a lot. I must first thank my choreographer, Solomon, who has put in lots of effort to execute all the stunts. Juji (stunt choreographer) helped them with some of the climax action sequences. And, to all the other choreographers who worked really hard and came to India and understood our vision. We put in 320 days of hard work to make this film and most of those days were spent on stunts and this recognition means a lot, not just to me and my film but to the whole Indian film industry."

The award comes just days after Jr NTR and Ram Charan received nominations at the Critics Choice Super Awards in the Best Actor in an Action Movie category. Reacting to the nominations, Ram Charan tweeted on Saturday, "Delighted to see my brother Jr NTR's and my name on the nominees list of Best Actor in an Action Movie. What a beautiful feeling to see our names next to legends like Nicolas Cage, Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt!"

Ram Charan also made an appearance on the talk show Good Morning America, becoming the second Indian actor to appear on the show after Priyanka Chopra-Jonas.

All eyes are now on the Oscar-nominated 'Naatu Naatu' with the awards ceremony set to take place on March 13.
