Nandamuri Taraka Ratna passed away Saturday night, leaving the entire industry in a state of mourning. The 39-year-old actor succumbed to a cardiac arrest he got on January 27. Taraka Ratna is survived by his wife and daughter.

Prominent members of the Telugu film industry took to social media to express their grief over the demise of Taraka Ratna.

Chiranjeevi wrote, “Deeply saddened to learn of the tragic premature demise of Nandamuri Taraka Ratna. Such bright, talented, affectionate young man,  gone too soon! Heartfelt condolences to all the family members and fans! May his Soul Rest in Peace!” 

Expressing sympathy to the family of Taraka Ratna, Mahesh Babu wrote, “Shocked and deeply saddened by the untimely demise of Taraka Ratna. Gone way too soon brother... My thoughts and prayers are with the family and loved ones during this time of grief.” 

Remembering his kind nature, actor Ravi Teja said, “Profoundly saddened to learn about the tragic demise of dear Taraka Ratna after battling hard! He will always be fondly remembered for his kind-hearted nature towards everyone! My sincere condolences to his dear ones. Om Shanti” 

Posting a picture of Taraka Ratna, Allari Naresh wrote, “A dear friend and very humble human, it’s heartbreaking to see him gone so soon. He will be dearly missed. Rest in peace babai” 

Allu Arjun also chimed in, and said, “Heartbroken to learn of the passing away of Taraka Ratna garu. Gone too soon . My deepest condolences to his family, friends & fans. May he rest in peace.”

Taraka Ratna is the son of cinematographer and producer Nandamuri Mohana Krishna and the grandson of Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao, actor and former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh. He is the nephew of actors Nandamuri Balakrishna, Nandamuri Harikrishna and politician Daggubati Purandeshwari and the first cousin of actors NTR Jr and Nandamuri Kalyan Ram. The actor had also made his foray into politics late last year, planning to represent Telugu Desam Party in Andhra Pradesh.
