The trailer of Kushi, the upcoming Telugu film starring actors Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Vijay Deverakonda in the lead roles, was released by the makers on Wednesday.

Kushi is written and directed by Shiva Nirvana, who has earlier helmed films like Ninnu Kori, Majili and Tuck Jagadish.

The trailer of Kushi starts off with a scenic landscape of Kashmir where Vijay meets Samantha as a Muslim woman. As he seems smitten by her, and spends time with her, the tonality of the trailer shifts to south Indian households. Samantha is seen in a different character, and there seems to be a love story brewing between her and Vijay.

The music of the film is composed by Hridayam-fame composer Hesham Abdul Wahab. Also starring Sachin Khedekar, Murali Sharma, Rohini Molleti, Lakshmi, Vennela Kishore, Rahul Ramakrishna, Srikanth Iyengar and Saranya Pradeep in supporting roles, Kushi is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar under the Mythri Movie Makers banner.

Murali G is the cinematographer of the film, with editing by Prawin Pudi and production design by Jayashree Lakshminarayan. Kushi is releasing on September 1 in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi languages, in addition to Telugu.
