Janhvi Kapoor: I really manifested working with Jr NTR

The shoot of Devara, Jr NTR's upcoming pan-India entertainer has been progressing at a brisk pace. The team will be shooting a massive water sequence in Hyderabad soon. The film is scheduled to release on April 4, 2024.

Janhvi Kapoor is the female lead in the film. The actor, who has previously worked in films like Dhadak, Bawaal, Mili, Roohi and Gunjan Saxena, will be making her Telugu debut with Devara. Expressing her happiness at working with NTR Jr, Janhvi says, "I really manifested working with Jr NTR so much, all I thought for one year was please mujhe mauka mile please mujhe mauka mile (please let me get a chance) and finally it is happening." 

Written and directed by Koratala Siva, Devara marks the second collaboration of the Mirchi and Bharat Ane Nenu director with the RRR actor after the 2016 film Janatha GarageDevara also stars Prakash Raj and Saif Ali Khan in important roles. The film is produced under the banner Yuvasudha Arts and is presented by Kalyan Ram, NTR's brother.

Anirudh will be returning to the Telugu industry to score tunes for this film, after previously working in Jersey and Agnyathavaasi. Rathnavelu is the cinematographer of the film, with editing by A Sreekar Prasad and production design by Sabu Cyril.
