Vijay Devarakonda wishes Samantha the best for Shaakuntalam

Samantha's Kushi co-star Vijay Devarakonda penned a heartfelt note wishing the best for the actor's upcoming film, Shaakuntalam, which will hit the theatres on Friday.

In a statement shared on his Twitter handle, Vijay wrote, "Sammy, You are so full of love, always wanting to do right, spread cheer, and still giving your everything for each shot in a film as if your entire career depends on it :) The world might never know what a fighter you have been the past 1 year, always trying to put a smile and your best foot forward for your teams, films and fans even though your body needs a break, needs rest. I wish you all luck for Shaakuntalam tomorrow. Your will and the love of millions will always keep you safe. It will all be well. Love always, Vijay."

Written and directed by Gunasekhar, Shaakuntalam is a cinematic adaptation of Kalidasa's play Abhignyana Shakuntalam. The film stars Samantha in the titular role of Shakuntala, with Malayalam actor Dev Mohan playing the role of Prince Dushyanta. The film also features Mohan Babu, Ananya Nagalla, Gautami and Aditi Balan in supporting roles. Shaakuntalam is produced by Gunasekhar’s daughter, Neelima Guna and distributed by Dil Raju.
