Virupaksha trailer out

The trailer of Virupaksha, an upcoming mystical thriller, has been unveiled on Tuesday morning. The film stars Sai Dharam Tej and Samyuktha in lead roles. Virupaksha is directed by debutant Karthik Dandu.

The film is written by veteran writer-director Sukumar and is also co-produced by him, under the banner Sukumar Writings. BVSN Prasad and his production house Sree Venkateshwara Cine Chitra are also producing this film.

Set in a village, Virupaksha deals with a village stuck in an age-old problem and how the protagonist of the film rises up to the occasion to save the village as the chosen one. The film has a love story between its leads Sai Dharam Tej and Samyuktha, while dealing with elements of black magic and mysticism in its more dramatic portions. 

Kannada music director B Ajaneesh Loknath, who has notably scored for films like Kantara and Ulidavaru Kandanthe has composed the music for Virupaksha. Shamdat, the cinematographer of Uppena is helming the camera for the film, with Navin Nooli providing the film's editing. 

Virupaksha will be hitting theatres on April 21.
