The first look poster of actor Dev Mohan as King Dushyant, from the upcoming film Shaakuntalam, was released by the makers on social media on Sunday. The poster features the actor as a royal suited in armour, sitting on a white horse, with his bow and arrows.
The film is written and directed by Gunasekhar.

Shaakunthalam is period drama, set in Himalayas. It is based on Kalidasa's epic Sanskrit play Abhijnana Shakuntalam. Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu will be essaying the role of Shakuntala, the film also has Mohan Babu as Durvasa Maharishi, Tamil actor Aditi Balan and Allu Arha in supporting roles. While the shooting has been wrapped up, the post-production works have been going at a brisk pace.
The Mani Sharma musical is slated to release on a pan-India scale in the second half of this year. The film is produced by Neelima Guna, for Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi and Malayalam.
