Key Mysore schedule wrapped up for Naga Chaitanya's NC22

NC22, the upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual starring Naga Chaitanya in the lead role, has wrapped up with its major schedule in Mysore. The film is directed by Venkat Prabhu, in his first collaboration with the actor and debut in Telugu film industry.

Apart from Naga Chaitanya, the film stars Krithi Shetty as the female lead. This will be the first time she is collaborating with Naga Chaitanya and Venkat Prabhu. While not much is known about the film’s plot or genre, the makers recently also announced a slew of actors as part of the cast including, Arvind Swami, Priyamani, Sampath, Sarathkumar, Premji, Vennela Kishore, Premi Vishwanath, among others.

The yet-to-be titled film is backed by Srinivasa Chitturi under the Srinivasa Silver Screen banner. The music for NC22 is composed by veteran musician Ilaiyaraaja along with his son-composer Yuvan Shankar Raja. The film went on floors in September.

Meanwhile, besides this film, Naga Chaitanya also has his maiden web series Dootha in production. Scheduled to stream on Amazon Prime Video, it is expected to be a horror thriller series, and will also feature Parvathy Thiruvothu, and Priya Bhavani Shankar. Naga Chaitanya was last seen in his Hindi debut Laal Singh Chaddha, alongside Aamir Khan.

On the other hand, Venkat Prabhu last helmed a segment from Tamil anthology The Victim. The director is also expected to soon team up with Sivakarthikeyan.
