Mumbai girl Sakshi Vaidya has been roped in to play the female lead opposite Panja Vaisshnav Tej in a new film. A romantic entertainer, the film is produced by BVSN Prasad and also marks the debut of Prudhvi as the director. The makers are planning to commence the principal photography either in August or September.

"The makers wanted to cast a newcomer as the female lead to bring a fresh appeal alongside Vaisshnav and have finalised Sakshi for the part. She has verbally agreed to be on board and will be signing the dotted line soon," reveals a source close to the development.

Sakshi is making her inroads to Tollywood with Akhil Akkineni-starrer Agent. Directed by Surender Reddy, the film is halfway through with the production and the team is planning to wrap up entire proceedings by August. Sakshi has also committed to working with director Praveen Sattaru in a new film starring Varun Tej.
