Adivi Sesh's Hit: The Second Case release date out

The second installment of Hit, starring Adivi Sesh and Meenakshi Chaudhary, gets a release date. Titled Hit: The Second Case, the Sailelsh Kolanu directorial will hit the screens on July 29, announced its makers on Monday.

Nani announced the release date through a special poster featuring Adivi.

Sharing the intense poster of the film, Adivi wrote on Twitter, "Something DANGEROUS about to unfold in the HIT universe! Get ready for spine-chilling suspense on the 29th of July (sic)."

Titled Hit: The Second Case, the sequel film has Meenakshi Chaudhary playing the female lead, while Bhanu Chandar will reprise his role from the original.

Hit: The First Case, featuring Vishwak Sen and Ruhani Sharma in the lead roles, was released before the first lockdown in 2020 and was declared a hit at the box office. The film depicted the story of a cop named Vikram Rudraraju, who suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and the pressures at work give him repeated panic attacks.

Hit: The Second Case is set in Andhra Pradesh and has Sesh playing Krishna Dev aka KD. The film was shot extensively in Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad.

Also starring Rao Ramesh, Bhanu Chander, Posani Krishna Murali, Tanikella Bharani, Srikanth Maganti, and Komalee Prasad, Hit 2 has music by John Stewart Eduri.

The film is produced by Prashanti Tipirneni in association with actor Nani.
