Mahesh Babu's Maharshi screened at Expo 2020 Dubai

The film tells the story of Rishi, the CEO of a Fortune 500 company, who comes back to India to help his estranged friend

Mahesh Babu's National award-winning movie Maharshi was screened by the India Pavilion on the occasion of Media & Entertainment Fortnight, at the pavilion at the Expo 2020 Dubai. 

As they made an official statement regarding the same, "#IndiaPavilion organised the screening of the National award-winning film Maharshi, on the occasion of Media & Entertainment Fortnight, at the pavilion at @expo2020dubai. #Expo2020Dubai #IndiaAtDubaiExpo #MIB @urstrulyMahesh @directorvamshi @MIB_India ," informed India Expo 2020.

The film tells the story of Rishi, the CEO of a Fortune 500 company, who comes back to India to help his estranged friend and in turn, ends up saving his village from the claws of a corporate organisation preying on farmers.

The film was a commercial hit and also won two National Awards in Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment and Best Choreography categories.

The film also stars Pooja Hegde, Allari Naresh, Prakash Raj, Jagapathi Babu, Jayasudha, and others.

Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu's next, Sarkaru Vaari Paata, is set to release on May 12.
