The flash strike launched by the Telugu film workers' union of 24 crafts was called off on Thursday, say reports. Reportedly, the producers of Tollywood have verbally agreed to heed the demand of the workers', who have been demanding a wage hike, and have requested the them to withdraw their non-cooperation pertaining to taking part in the film shootings.

On Thursday, Vallabhaneni Anil Kumar, president of the Telugu Film Industry Employees Federation has asserted that the workers have dropped their idea to continue their protest and maintained that they will be joining the sets on Friday.

According to a well-placed source, the Telugu Film Chamber and the Telugu Film Producers Guild has agreed to revise the wages in line with the demands and have asked the union workers to not hinder the shooting prospects of the films that were in production for sometime now.

About 20,000 union workers from all crafts of the Telugu film industry have abstained from work from Wednesday demanding salary hikes. After the Cinematography and Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav has urged the industry to provide a quick resolution without the government's intervention, the producers have held marathon talks to sort out the differences and have agreed to the demands of the workers.

The flash strike has incurred losses to about 25 films working indoor and outdoor and now that the strike has been called off, following a resolution, the workers are expected to resume their work from Friday.
