Hyderabad Traffic Police use Akhanda for promoting road safety

Even as it continues to make waves in both theatres and OTT, Akhanda has now found an unlikely new fan following in the form of a PSA shared by the Hyderabad Traffic Police. The cops have used a scene featuring Balakrishna and Pragya Jaiswal to showcase the importance of wearing seat belts while driving.

The Boyapati Srinu directorial features a scene in which Balakrishna is forced to suddenly apply brakes to avoid a collision with a speeding lorry, and it is his character Murali Krishna's quick thinking that saves Pragya's Sharanya from a head injury. She is then advised on the importance of wearing a seat belt, and is lectured on the preciousness of life.

Taking a cue from this scene the Hyderabad police have posted an image from it on their Twitter handle with the message, "No Matter How Far, No Matter Whose Car, Always Buckle Up!"

They further thanked Balakrishna and Srinu for incorporating this message in Akhanda. The cops wrote, "Thank you Nandamuri Balakrishna garu and Boyapati Srinu garu for promoting Road Safety. #Akhanda."
