Prabhas' Radhe Shyam headed for direct OTT release?

If the buzz in the tinsel town is anything to go by, Prabhas' upcoming period rom-com Radhe Shyam is heading for a direct OTT release on January 14. A couple of streaming platforms have recently approached the makers of Radhe Shyam with an irresistible offer and a clearer picture would emerge by this weekend.

Directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, Radhe Shyam was all set for theatrical release on a pan-India scale on January 14, before the Omicron Covid-19 scare forced several states to restrict the occupancy at movie theatres to 50%.

With the number of Covid-19 cases continuing to rise across the world, the makers are now contemplating releasing the film directly on OTT platform.

Meanwhile, the post-production works of Radhe Shyam are in full swing and music composer SS Thaman, who is on board to compose the background score of the film, is working round the clock to ensure a smooth release.

Produced by UV Creations, Radhe Shyam also features Pooja Hegde, Sachin Khedekar, Bhagyashree and Krishnam Raju in pivotal roles.
