Jr NTR's brother-in-law Narne Nithin Chandra is set to make his acting debut with a family drama directed by Satish Vegesna. Titled Sri Sri Rajavaru, the film is rumoured to be an adaptation of the 2018 Malayalam film Theevandi, which featured Tovino Thomas and Samyuktha Menon in the lead roles.

Theevandi tells the story of a young man, who struggles to deal with his nicotine addiction, while also facing several challenges in his love life. For the uninitiated, Nithin Chandra is the brother of NTR's wife Lakshmi Pranathi.

"The core of the film hasn't been tweaked, but Satish has managed to make a lot of changes in the remake. The film is set in East Godavari district and the director has localised the story with strong family connections," says a source close to the production unit.

The shooting of Sri Sri Rajavaru has already been completed and the post-production is in full swing. The film is expected to hit the screens later this year. Interestingly, Nithin Chandra was supposed to collaborate with director Teja in Chitram 1.1, but the film was put on the back burner due to undisclosed reasons.
