We had previously reported that Samantha is working on a Tamil-Telugu bilingual titled Yashoda that's produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad under Sridevi Movies banner. It's now known that the makers have constructed a grand set worth three crores to shoot the major portions of the film.

Speaking about the sets, producer Sivalenka says, "30 to 40% of our Yashoda scenes happen in a single place. We’ve visited many star hotels for the same but shooting 35-40 days at such hotels feels troublesome. So, we decided to unveil a grand set of two floors worth three crores at Nanakramguda’s Ramanaidu Studios under the supervision of Art Director Ashok."

The set is said to consist of all amenities one would find at a star hotel. "It has seven to eight sets of dining halls, living room, conference hall and library. We begin a new schedule on this set from February 3." The set is created by art director Ashok of Okkadu fame who has worked in more than 150 films in Tamil and Telugu.

Directed by Hari and Harish, Yashoda will have music by Mani Sharma. Also starring Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Unni Mukundan, Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, the makers are currently shooting crucial scenes on the newly constructed set with Samantha, Varalaxmi and Unni Mukundan.

The first schedule of the film was shot from December 6 to Christmas and the second went on floors before sankranti in January. Another schedule is planned in Kodaikanal and the makers are planning to wrap the entire shoot by April and release it in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi simultaneously.
