Adivi Sesh requests netizens not to spoil HIT 2

Earlier on Thursday, the makers of the upcoming Telugu investigative thriller, HIT: The Second Case surprised netizens by making an announcement that they will be revealing the 'Killer' at 6:03 pm. Thankfully, they didn't voluntarily spoil the film but instead, it turned out to be both a prank and a request from their side.

In a video posted by Adivi Sesh, the actor requests netizens to not be "buzz killers" with just hours left for the film's theatre release. "Many are trying to reveal twists from our film on social media. We worked on HIT: The Second Case for nearly two years. Please don't let our efforts go in vain for the sake of a transient joy that lasts less than 2 minutes or 2 seconds. All of you can watch and enjoy the film from tomorrow," Sesh says in the video.

The film, directed by Sailesh Kolanu, is a sequel to the 2020 film, HIT: The First Case, which starred Vishwak Sen in the lead role and inspired an official adaptation in Hindi by the same name, also helmed by Sailesh and starring Rajkummar Rao. During the film's promotions, Sailesh revealed his plans to create a cop universe spawning nearly seven films, with characters played by Vishwak in the original and now, Sesh, in the sequel, being the first ones to be introduced in the franchise.

HIT: The Second Case, also featuring Meenakshi Chaudhary and Rao Ramesh in prominent roles, is set to release on December 2.
