Varalaxmi Sarathkumar to play Nandamuri Balakrishna's sister in NBK 107

We had earlier reported that actor Varalaxmi Sarathkumar has been roped in to play a prominent role in Nandamuri Balakrishna's upcoming film NBK 107. A source close to the production informed us that Varalaxmi plays Balakrishna's sister in this action drama directed by Gopichand Malineni.

"Varalaxmi plays a role that is crucial in driving the narrative. It comes as a surprise package and also gives a much-needed impetus to the story. Malineni picked her for the part because of the significance and substance associated with it," says a source close to the development. Also starring Shruti Haasan, Duniya Vijay and Chandrika Ravi in crucial roles, NBK 107's filming is currently underway in Turkey.

"After the Kurnool schedule, the team is now filming an action sequence and a couple of songs on Balayya and Shruti Haasan in Istanbul. This schedule will go on till September first week," the source adds.

Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, NBK 107 has Balakrishna playing a dual role as father and son. The makers are planning to release the film during Sankranthi 2023. The music of the film is scored by S Thaman.
