After enticing the audience with Sarkaru Vaari Paata, Mahesh Babu is all set to join forces with Trivikram Srinivas in a new film.

Tentatively named SSMB 28, the film will commence its principal photography on September 8 in a specially erected set in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad.

"The film will hit the floors in the first week of September and the team is planning to shoot a high-voltage action sequence on Mahesh and goons for 25 days. This action block is going to be a feast for the fans and action movie buffs," says a source adding that the shoot will be wrapped up in February. "The idea is to wrap up the entire shooting by February."

Interestingly, Mahesh is going for a makeover and will be sporting a new avatar in the film. "Mahesh has lost a few kilos and will be sporting a lean yet rugged look with a stubble in this film," the source adds.

Produced by Suryadevara Radha Krishna (China Babu), SSMB 28 also features Pooja Hegde as the female lead. However, she will join the sets in the film's second schedule in October. SSMB 28 marks the third collaboration of Mahesh and Trivikram Srinivas after Athadu (2005) and Khaleja (2010).
