Vijay Deverakonda meets theatre owner to clarify boycott comments

Actor Vijay Deverakonda met Manoj Desai, a Mumbai-based exhibitor who owns the city's iconic Maratha Mandir and Gaiety Galaxy theatres, to clear the air about his comments on the boycott row. Responding to Vijay's comments about the boycott threats on social media, Manoj earlier called the actor "arrogant" in an interview.

According to IANS, Vijay flew to Mumbai to meet the exhibitor and clarify that his statement boycott claims have been taken out of context. After the conversation, Manoj reportedly understood the whole issue and stated that Vijay is the second person after Amitabh Bachchan to whom he has apologised in his life.

Manoj said, "He is a very nice guy, down to earth, I will keep loving him always. He has got a bright future and I promise hereby, I will take all his pictures. I wish him all the best."

Directed by Puri Jagannadh and co-starring Ananya Panday, Liger was released last Thursday and was met with largely negative critical reception. Vijay is once again teaming with film filmmaker Puri Jagannadh for JGM. His next release will be Shiva Nirvana's Khushi, co-starring Samantha.
