Samantha and Naga Chaitanya announce separation

Actors Samantha and Naga Chaitanya have officially announced their separation. They made the announcement on Saturday by releasing statements on their respective social media handles.

Samantha posted on her Instagram handle,

"To all our well-wishers.

After much deliberation and thought, Chay and I have decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths. We are fortunate to have a friendship of over a decade that was the very core of our relationship which we believe will always hold a special bond between us.

We request our fans, well-wishers, and the media to support us during this difficult time and give us the privacy we need to move on. Thanking you for your support."

Naga Chaitanya also posted a similar statement on his Twitter handle.

Naga Chaitanya and Samantha were in a relationship for a couple of years before they got married on October 6, 2017. They both have worked together in Ye Maaya Chesave, Autonagar Surya, Majili, and Manam.

Speculations regarding their separation have been doing the rounds for quite some time now. However, both the actors maintained a dignified silence regarding it.

On the work front, Samantha has Shaakuntalam and Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal coming up. Meanwhile, Naga Chaitanya's latest release Love Story is running successfully in theatres. He is also making his Hindi debut with the Aamir Khan starrer Lal Singh Chaddha.
