RRR release date announced

The much-awaited release date of SS Rajamouli's upcoming historical actioner, RRR, has been announced. The film will be hitting screens worldwide on January 7, 2022.

A new poster featuring Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Alia Bhat, and Ajay Devgn has also been released.

Earlier, the makers had announced October 13 as the release date but had to postpone it due to the pandemic situation.

Ever since its launch in 2019, RRR has remained one of the most anticipated Indian films. Set in the pre-independence era of the 1920s, the film has Jr NTR and Ram Charan playing freedom fighters Komarum Bheem and Alluri Sitarama Raju, respectively.

Produced by DVV Danayya at an estimated budget of Rs 450 crore, the film also features Olivia Morris, Samuthirakani, and Shriya Saran in supporting roles.

The film's music and cinematography are by Rajamouli's frequent collaborators, MM Keeravani and KK Senthil Kumar.

RRR will release in Hindi, Telugu, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
