Legendary Telugu actor Kaikala Satyanarayana has been admitted to a private hospital in Hyderabad and his condition is critical, according to reliable sources.

The 86-year-old stalwart of Telugu cinema complained of breathlessness and was immediately rushed to the hospital.

He was rushed to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and has been put on ventilator support and his condition remains critical.

Last month, Satyanarayana sustained a fall at his home and was shifted to a private hospital for treatment as a precautionary measure. He recovered quickly in a few days and was discharged from the hospital in the first week of November. Once again, he has fallen ill now.

He is in severe septic shock and multi-organ failure. Team of doctors attending on him and all efforts are on to restore his condition. The condition is very critical and prognosis and expected outcome is very poor," read the statement issued by the hospital.

In a career spanning over five decades, Satyanarayana has acted in over 800 films and produced several hit films under his home production, Rama Films.

Kaikala Satyanarayana had recently presented the Telugu dubbed version of Kannada blockbuster KGF: Chapter 1 and he is now awaiting the release of KGF Chapter 2.
