On the occasion of Rana Daggubati's birthday, a special video from the star's upcoming film Virata Parvam was released. The video features a poem by Dr. Ravi Shankar alias Comrade Ravanna which calls for a rebellion. He asks his followers to keep faith and trust in their fight as he picks up a rifle, walking away from the frame.

Virata Parvam portrays the Naxalite movement that was prevalent in the state of Telangana in the 1990s. The short glimpse of Ravanna and Vennela portrayed by Sai Pallavi also promises an intense romance.  The film's release was delayed due to the onset of the Coronavirus pandemic.

There were also speculations that it would release directly on OTT, however, the makers denied the claims. The post-theatrical streaming rights for the film has been acquired by Netflix.

The film is penned and directed by Venu Udugula with cinematography by Dani Sanchez-Lopez. It is produced by D. Suresh Babu and Sudhakar Cherukuri with a promising cast that includes Priyamani, Nandita Das, Naveen Chandra, Zarina Wahab, Easwari Rao, and Sai Chand. The trailer of the film is scheduled to be released on Sankranthi, 2022.
