Chiranjeevi-Meher Ramesh film titled Bholaa Shankar

We had previously reported that Telugu star Chiranjeevi will be teaming up with filmmaker Meher Ramesh for his next. On the occasion of Chiranjeevi's birthday today, the makers of the film have officially announced the film and revealed that it has been titled Bholaa Shankar.

Actor Mahesh Babu, who has a long association with Maher Ramesh, unvieled the title on Twitter. Happy birthday, Chiranjeevi garu. Honoured to be unveiling the title of your film! Bholaa Shankar, under the directorial skills of my good friend Meher Ramesh and my favourite producer Anil Sunkara garu. May the year ahead bring you great health and success. All the best sir!" wrote Mahesh, while sharing the title with a short motion poster.

The film is reportedly a remake of the 2015 Tamil film, Vedhalam, and similar to the Ajith Kumar-starrer, the motion poster of Bholaa Shankar hints that the film will be set in the backdrop of Kolkata. The film stars Keerthy Suresh as Chiranjeevi's sister in the film.

While the other cast and crew are yet to be unvieled, the motion poster announced that the film is currently aiming for a 2022 release.

In addition to Bholaa Shankar, Chiranjeevi also has a film with Mohan Raja, titled God Father, and a film with Bobby in his pipeline. His latest, Acharya, directed by Koratala Siva, is expected to hit screens by the end of this year.
