Teaser for Yugi, starring Kathir in the lead, releases online

The first official teaser for the thriller film titled Yugi has been released online. The gripping trailer introduces us to the characters and the mystery they are all entangled in without managing to spoil the plot. Veteran actor/director Prathap Pothan, who plays a key role in the film, appears briefly in the nearly 2-minute-long teaser.

Kathir, who turned heads with critically acclaimed films like Pariyerum Perumal and Vikram Vedha, plays the lead in the film. The cast of the film also includes Natty, Narain, Anandhi, Pavithra Lakshmi, Munishkanth, Namo Narayan, Vinodhini, and Athmeeya. The film is directed by debutant Zac Harriss who has also penned the screenplay based on a story written by Packiaraj Ramalingam. 

The film is also being made in Malayalam under the title Adrishyam which is also directed by  Zac Harriss. In the Malayalam version, Kathir’s role is played by Joju George while Natty’s role is played by Sharafudheen. Both the Tamil and Malayalam versions of the film are produced by UAN Film House and AAR Productions in association with Juvis Productions.  Ranjin Raj composed the songs for the film while Dawn Vincent worked on the background score. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on 18 November.
